Sh. Shrikant Kumar is an accomplished Graphic Designer at Instrainee Education Foundation, with expertise in UI/UX design, motion graphics, and AI-driven design tools. He brings substantial experience in the creative and digital design domain, along with a strong understanding of emerging market trends and their influence on career development opportunities.
Ms. Muskan is an experienced Project Coordinator at Instrainee Education Foundation, specializing in organizing seminars, workshops, and school-level examinations. She brings extensive experience in planning, managing, and executing educational events, with a strong ability to coordinate between students, faculty, and external stakeholders. Her expertise ensures smooth operations and a structured approach to programs, while her understanding of educational trends helps enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
The primary objective of the Software Awareness Program – Draughtsman Civil was to introduce students to the foundational concepts of civil drafting and 3D modeling using professional design software. The program aimed to provide hands-on experience with Autocad and Sketchup, enabling students to create 2D building plans and 3D models while applying materials and textures.
Another key objective was to enhance students’ practical skills and technical understanding, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. The program also sought to spark interest in civil design and drafting careers, encouraging students to explore further learning and skill development in this field.
The Software Awareness Program – Draughtsman Civil was successfully conducted at the Skill Book Skill Development Centre on 31st October 2025, starting from 09:00 AM. The program saw the participation of 17 students, who actively engaged in a hands-on learning session designed to introduce them to the foundations of designing using professional software tools.
During the session, students gained practical experience in creating 2D building plans and 3D models, including a 3D TV panel, while learning to apply materials and textures to their designs. The program focused on enhancing students’ technical skills using Autocad and Sketchup, two widely used software applications in civil drafting and 3D modeling.
The workshop provided students with valuable exposure to design concepts, practical applications, and software tools, helping them build a strong foundation in civil drafting and 3D modeling. By participating in this program, students developed both technical skills and creative understanding, preparing them for advanced learning and future career opportunities in design and drafting.
Students appreciated the hands-on learning experience and found the session very engaging and informative. They enjoyed working on 2D building plans and 3D models and felt that applying materials and textures gave them practical exposure to real-world design projects. Many students shared that the workshop helped them understand the basics of Autocad and Sketchup, and it motivated them to learn more about civil drafting and 3D modeling. They expressed that the program boosted their confidence and sparked interest in pursuing further skill development in design and drafting.

Pre-workshop orientation or career guidance sessions could further help students understand the practical applications of drafting and 3D modeling in professional fields.
Expanding participation to more students and integrating collaborative group projects can enhance teamwork and creativity. Overall, continuing such initiatives will strengthen skill development, boost career readiness, and encourage innovation among students in the field of civil design and drafting.
