OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the Career Vocational Skills seminar was to introduce 12th-grade students to job-oriented vocational courses and practical career opportunities available after school. The seminar aimed to help students understand the importance of skill development alongside academics and guide them on how courses in areas like graphic designing, digital marketing, accounting, programming, civil and mechanical design, interior designing, and draftsman work can boost career prospects.

Another important objective was to explain the NEP 2020 framework and show how credit points and skill-based courses can enhance employability and improve job opportunities. The seminar also focused on providing practical exposure through demonstrations and interactive activities, helping students make informed decisions about their future education and careers.

REPORT IN BRIEF

The Career Vocational Skills seminar was successfully conducted at Govt. S.V. Rohini, Sec 7 on 12 November 2025, starting at 09:30 AM, with 152 students from Class 12 (all streams) participating.

The event began with a warm welcome to teachers, students, and coordinators, followed by an introduction to vocational careers and their significance in today’s competitive job market. Students were introduced to different skill-based courses, especially computer-related skills, and shown practical examples through live demonstrations on the projector.

An interactive poster designing activity allowed students to apply their creativity and learning in a fun and engaging way. The seminar also highlighted NEP 2020 and explained how credit points from vocational courses can boost job opportunities and career growth. During the one-to-one interaction and doubt-clearing session, students actively asked questions and received personalized guidance on career paths after 12th.

The overall atmosphere was light, happy, and enthusiastic, with students learning new skills, exploring career options, and gaining confidence about their future. The school principal appreciated the initiative and awarded an appreciation certificate for the social and educational contribution of the program.
