To introduce students to essential CAD tools used in mechanical engineering

The CAD Essentials – Mechanical Engineering workshop was conducted on 17 December 2025 at the Skill Book Skill Development Centre for 29 DMM (Draughtsman Mechanical) students from ITI Dheerpur. The three-hour, free workshop focused on hands-on training in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, covering 2D drafting, isometric views, 3D modeling, and basic assemblies. The session was led by Mr. Vinay (Mechanical Engineer) and Mr. Dilshad (Civil Designer).
Certificate
Students responded enthusiastically and found the workshop engaging, informative, and practically useful. They appreciated the hands-on approach, clear explanations, and exposure to industry-relevant software. Faculty members also valued the workshop for enhancing students’ technical skills and practical understanding of CAD applications.

Whether the speakers are good enough to explain
The workshop was successfully conducted and met its objectives of introducing CAD fundamentals and improving practical design skills. Students and teachers recommended organizing advanced-level CAD workshops with longer duration to allow deeper practice on AutoCAD and SolidWorks. They also suggested incorporating more complex real-life industry projects and assessment-based activities to strengthen practical learning. Regular follow-up sessions, certification programs, and exposure to additional design software would further enhance students’ technical competence and employability.
