Instrainee Education Foundation

Mr. Vinay is a dedicated and proficient Mechanical Engineer at Instrainee Education Foundation, known for his strong practical expertise and enthusiasm for applying engineering concepts in real-world scenarios. He is a firm advocate of experiential learning and has the ability to simplify complex ideas, making them easy for students to understand.
Appreciated for his friendly approach and encouraging teaching methods, he creates a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and actively engage. Mr. Vinay remains committed to guiding learners, enhancing their technical skills, and equipping them for successful careers in the field of mechanical engineering.
On 13 April 2026, the Skill Book Skill Development Centre successfully organized a CAD Essentials – Mechanical Designing Workshop, bringing together 18 enthusiastic students from ITI Jahangirpuri (Turner Trade, 1st and 2nd Year), along with their teachers. The workshop was thoughtfully designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements by focusing on practical, hands-on training.
The primary objective of the workshop was to equip students with essential CAD skills that are highly valued in the mechanical and manufacturing sectors. By introducing them to modern design tools and workflows, the session aimed to enhance their technical competence and prepare them for real-world job opportunities.
During the one-day workshop, students were introduced to AutoCAD software and its applications in mechanical engineering. They learned how to set up drawings and practiced essential commands such as line, offset, trim, and dimension. The session emphasized proper drawing scales and techniques, enabling students to create accurate and professional 2D mechanical drawings, including basic machine components and part layouts.
A key highlight of the training was developing the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, a crucial skill for students in the Turner trade. This helped them better understand how designs translate into actual manufacturing processes.
To broaden their perspective, students were also given an introduction to 3D design concepts. They explored how 2D drawings evolve into 3D visualizations, gaining insights into basic modeling and how mechanical components can be represented for better understanding and communication in real-world projects.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Dilshad (Mechanical Designer), who provided step-by-step instructions and shared valuable industry insights. His approachable teaching style encouraged students to ask questions and actively engage throughout the session.
The participants showed great enthusiasm, and the interactive, hands-on approach significantly boosted their confidence and understanding of mechanical design practices.
Overall, the workshop played a vital role in strengthening students’ practical knowledge and technical skills. By focusing on experiential learning, it not only enhanced their understanding of CAD tools but also prepared them for future opportunities in the mechanical engineering and manufacturing industries.
Such initiatives continue to support students in becoming industry-ready professionals, capable of meeting the evolving demands of the modern workforce.
